These terms govern your use of keptops.com. Using this site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What this site is
keptops.com describes services offered by Kept, Inc. It is informational. Nothing on it is an offer, a quote, or a contract, and nothing on it creates a client relationship. Services are provided only under a signed written agreement between Kept and a practice.
What Kept is not
Kept is not a medical practice. Kept does not provide clinical care, does not make clinical decisions, and does not supervise anyone who does. Kept does not provide legal, tax or accounting advice.
Accuracy
Information on this site is provided in good faith and may change without notice. Prices and service descriptions are current at the time of writing and are not a guarantee of future availability or cost.
Your responsibilities
Do not use this site to attempt unauthorized access, to interfere with its operation, or for any unlawful purpose. Do not send confidential patient information through the contact form or by email to this site; neither is a secure channel and neither is covered by a business associate agreement.
Intellectual property
The content, design and materials on this site belong to Kept, Inc. except where otherwise credited. You may read and share the pages; you may not reproduce them commercially without permission.
Limitation of liability
This site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Kept is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the information it contains. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
Changes
Kept may update these terms. The effective date above will change when it does.
Privacy Policy
This policy covers information Kept collects through keptops.com and through its messaging program. It does not cover protected health information Kept handles for a client practice, which is governed by the services agreement and the business associate agreement with that practice.
What Kept collects
- If you contact Kept: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, your practice name, and whatever you choose to write.
- If you join the messaging program: your mobile number and delivery information such as whether a message was delivered.
- When you visit the site: Kept does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on this site.
How Kept uses it
To answer you, to provide the service you asked for, and to send the notifications you have opted into. That is all.
Kept does not sell your information, and mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile opt-in data or consent is shared with any third party for that party's own use. The only sharing that happens is with the messaging provider Kept uses to transmit the messages you asked for, and only in order to transmit them.
Service providers
Kept uses a small number of vendors to operate — a cloud host, a messaging provider, an email provider. They receive only what they need to perform their function and may not use it for their own purposes.
How long Kept keeps it
Contact information is kept while a conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Mobile numbers in the messaging program are removed when you opt out. Records Kept holds under a client services agreement are governed by that agreement rather than by this policy.
Security
Kept stores business records in access-controlled cloud storage with encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and Kept does not claim otherwise.
Your choices
You can ask what Kept holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to the address below. You can leave the messaging program at any time by replying STOP.
Children
This site and this messaging program are not directed to children and Kept does not knowingly collect information from them.
Messaging Program Terms
Program name: Kept Practice Notifications
What the program is
Kept Practice Notifications sends operational and administrative text messages to staff and clinicians at practices that have engaged Kept. Examples are credential renewal deadlines, filing windows that are about to open or close, and notices that a task needs attention.
This program does not message patients. Kept does not text a practice's patients under this program, and messages sent under it never contain patient information.
How you join
Staff and clinicians at a client practice opt in during onboarding by providing a mobile number and confirming in writing that they wish to receive these notifications. Consent is not a condition of any service Kept provides to the practice, and no one is required to join.
Message frequency
Frequency varies and depends on your credentials and deadlines. Expect a small number of messages per month; in a quiet month you may receive none.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Kept does not charge you for these messages.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You will receive one confirmation and then nothing further.
CANCEL, END, OPTOUT, QUIT, REVOKE, STOPALL and UNSUBSCRIBE also stop the messages.
Reply HELP for help, or contact Kept at j.bass@keptops.com. INFO works the same as HELP.
If you have opted out and want the messages again, reply START or UNSTOP.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
